Default i'm so confused with JTR

this passfile i got from a ccbill.log
normally i can crack at least one password from the passfile, but this one is very confused me, about 30000 password, 0 cracked???????
by the way, i have 30m pot


can anyone help me???just try some, if you can crack

It's AuthX, not DES.

AuthX the reaper or something. On securibox. But it's a strange encryption, read abit about it there.

It's not actually. That's why i said read on authX. You'll have 2 files. "certain" and some "possible" once you crack them.

yes, i got fake passes and ture passes
can i also use fake passes as a wordlist to run in AD, or only ture passes?

I haven't messed much with authX, but it's true, not ture :P
Not sure, but i think those fake aren't really true, so i don't think it makes sense to use them. Not sure what level of sureness he has they are not true.

Yeah, I don't mess with them much either. Funny, but I've got several proggies for decrypting them but I usually find myself saying, "Well, fuck this file."

As mentioned, you can get more info on AuthX at Securibox, but the basic problem with AuthentiX is that multiple words may has into the same thing, which is why you wind up with the whole fakes/sure thing. "Sure" simply means that there's a higher likelihood of the pass being valid for that hash, while the ones in fakes tend to be those that are dupes.

Either way, depending on the age of the logifile, some or none of the passes may still be valid - your mileage will vary a lot.
