Question Character lengths on sites

Whats are some different ways to check the lengths for different websites? Because as most of you know its pointless trying to use wordlist with combos more than the allowed characters. I heard you can use the view page source but how do you go about that?

The easiest way is just to go to the join page and see what it says there.

silent echo,
you can view the source of a page 2 ways that i know of if your using explorer

1 go to view at the top of the browser then click on source
or
2right click on the page itself and click on view source

of course it helps if you can read html but not totally neccesary
just take your time and look at the page that you opened, some place in there it will say something like username = min5, max 10 char or something like that
also it will help if you look approx. as far down the page as the user/pas is on the actual page...im mean if when you are looking at the members login page and the place to enter the info is at the bottom, then when you view source the html the info your looking for will be at the bottom also..
hope this helps

Also you can do use google index of http://www.site.com/members

thats another way to see if they generate passes and see what type of passes they use

Sometimes u have to take out the http://www

Hope that may be helpful
