When it comes to getting into trouble with cracking I think you need to weigh in the cost of a site pursueing any legal action. You are trying to crack a $20-$30 password. Taking you to court over such a thing is likely to cost them thousands in legal fees. It simply is not ecnomically feasible for them to do so. Not unless you have done something absolutely terrible to their website. Simply cracking a pass or 2 is not worth their time to pursue.
