Default Question about browsing cracked sites.

Hi,

I'm new to this, and I tried to browse a site the other day. I tried four passes, but they were all dead. I was wondering if I could possibly get in trouble with the authorities or my ISP over this. Thanks!

Its Highly unlikely if your are ONLY trying to manually enter a few yourself and not being a "brute" but anything is possible and rules are obviously diffferent depending on your region. At any rate anonymity is a needed knowledge for any surfer regardless of what they do so may I suggest you obtain that knowledge first, i did not, and basically did most of the things everyone warns you about with nothing more than inconviences as consequesnces, but it is definetely do to large amounts of mind altering substances I consume on an hourly basis, and would not reccomend it. I am always reading and re-reading everything I can find on anonymity, so here are some places I feel are great resources with good explanation for those new to the game.... Visit, learn, share...Good Luck.

I wasn't being a Brute. I just entered a couple I found on this site, under a password post. 4 to that one particular site had suspended accounts, so I was wondering if its possible I could get in trouble.

Please read that: https://www.xisp.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18628 and https://www.xisp.org/forum/showthread.php?t=18687

Conclusion: if you are only visiting a pornsite even with a cracked password, you do not need to worry. As you and me and that guys, millions of people do that. And in the end they can't proof shit.

So enjoy the free porn.

Well, easily provable. But, as said, so many and not really worth the effort to pursue

Easily provable that he accessed the site, and see what he saw and downloaded. But hard to proof he was the one who cracked the password, IMO.

Anyway laws are very confused to that. And in many countries they does not care about that stuff. At least I never saw a news of a porn hacker/cracker that was busted, even that godlikes that rape an entire billing database.

Snicker... Sly are being facitious?

Damn those webmasters scaring all the kids with stuff like this:

Your Account Was Being Used From The Following Locations:
Location Ip Address Block
Unknown City 72.181.148
Mahwah, NJ, United States 198.138.210
Slough, 00, United Kingdom 195.93.60
Reston, VA, United States 68.238.131
Unknown City 189.142.92
Unknown City Germany 84.133.12
Montevideo, 10, Uruguay 201.18.124

That. LOL. OMFG hide!

No worries. You are safe. For the record, my IP is not in that list and I didn't use a proxy, so I conclude that they are bullshit anyways. Even if they weren't nobody ever comes over to arrest me! I even cracked a beer for them once. No show I got stood up!

I think popular pron sites are logging thousands failed login attempts per day, since they can't prosecute perpertrators automatically, each case requires a lawyer to go ahead. Lawyers cost money as we all know. Big money :)
