AccessDiver vs Sentry vs others

Sentry is my fave, it takes 2-3 houres for trying a few thousand combos while C-Forces takes the whole night, that should be well worth the couple of minutes you need to set it up properly. And AD is out of question since I don't want to use programs phoning home.

You can shut the feature off in charon and the author has the source code in open so you can look for yourself. I'd say that is pretty straight forward.

Hehe, you know I'm full of opinions. lol But as a caveot, remember that thing about AD phone home feature as possible spyware is just speculation. I have no proof. May be perfectly harmless. Just bothers me there is not a way to see or stop it. maybe I'm paranoid.

hmm , yes well Ad is no good now a days but you can still find the older version
on the net before the malware inclusion here; h--p://searchlores.org/tools.htm

This guy seems to have alot of tools for the trade with tuts, never get time to actually follow them though.

Sentry is nice as well as Triton, and Charon is another gem, if you feel that your system security is being compromised download @active packet sniffer and look through the log files to see if any personal info is being leaked.

As a (simplistic) rule: the older your version, the less likely it is that it will [malbehave] and spy on you...

You want a typical example? WINAMP, the mp3 player. You should use previous versions, for instance version 2.91 (see below)
All more recent versions, from version 3 onward, hog your resources a lot and are spyware (I.e.: send your data back to mama).
