Default Windows Security

Did you forget that windows password? Don't know if this has been posted before but some may find this link useful. Download the ISO file and use NERO to expand the file and create a bootable CD.

OPHCRACK (the time-memory-trade-off-cracker)

I've never used this myself... Has anyone tested? I'd like to know how efficient this is. I currently just copy the SAM using offline ntfs reader and then bf.

Overkill - I've tested it and yes it does work - simple passwords are cracked rather quickly as far as effeciency I couldn't say. You can get more details on the program here http://lasecwww.epfl.ch/~oechslin/projects/ophcrack/ - hope this helps answer some of your questions.

Thumbs up

Thanks Spagyrist,

I always like to see people talk from experiences with the prog. I'm sure you can get an idea of how many people walk into a computer repair place and can't get on their computer. Many time it's not really theirs and they want to keep the same pass so that the owner doesn't know. Very usefully before divorce trials . I aready can do this well and now I know I have a new tool to test out..

THANK YOU AGAIN

Some more useful tools when your forgetful of your personal pass....

Code:
http://aluigi.altervista.org/pwdrec.htm
If you ever need to bypass say NT or 2000 (ctrl+alt+del) protection at boot or basically to get any harddrive to start under any circumstance feasable I love
Winternals erd admin tools 2k5.

And prior to divorce if you cannot code your own I have tested 20-30 different commercial types and have yet to come accross anything as useful as e-blaster or its 1 up, spector - pro...

I have installed the program, but I don't know what directory the password hashes are stored in.
Can anyone help.
