Default Help with AD

A couple of questions on AD:

1. I've heard that it contains Spyware, is this true?

2. After having learned about proxies, wordlists and going through tutorials, I think I have a good basic understanding. I am currently running a crack at 6 bots and AD is saying it is going to take something like 5000 hours to finish. Is there something I could do differently?

Thanks to all of the experts sho share their passes in the pass section, and their expertise.

It did contain spyware in alot of previous versions. He claims there is no spyware anymore in those versions where it says it's not "bundeled" with any programs, but many of us still have trouble believing that, as the program obviously always "calls home" since it knows when is the new version out. So because of that and his previous dealings, many of us don't trust the tool that it's not "calling home" for some other things other then just checking the version :)

6 bots is pretty slow for most basic auth login's. I'm also wondering what kind of responses you're getting- 404, 401, timeouts?? 5000 hours would require just a tad more patience than I'm willing to give ;)

I am getting a lot of 404, the speed is 55.9/hour. I agree, a year is more time than I am willing to spend too! Any advice would be appreciated.

Sounds like most of your proxies are dead. Try grabbing a couple of the most recent lists from the proxy forum and testing those.

AD tells me I still have about 170 working proxies, I thought that was enough, but I dont know. Do you think I need more? Thanks again.

6 bots is not necissarily too slow. depends on a lot of factors. You need to watch how the site reacts and make adjustments. If your proxies are all timing out that really slows a test because the bot will wait for each proxy. Plus if you are running 1,000,000,000 combo word list at 6 bots it is going to take some time.

So,,,, refine your wordlist....double test your proxies.

Best would be to check the proxies against the site, then you should have a smaller bunch of proxies that work for sure. And the number of bots really depends on site, on your connection and so on. Usually you would run as little as 6 bots on sites that start to spit fakes and various errors if you run it with higher number of bots.

6 bots is ok, cause sometimes i just use 5-10 bots, depends on members, website ip checking system, you proxies, many factors

besically, you need to find some good proxies, good wordlist, i mean newest wordlist that may help you get some passes
