Default FireBird34's Password Cracker v3.1

FBPC is programmed in Perl, combined with Tk, allowing the use of a GUI environment for the user. Currently accepts DES, MD5, ROT-13 and Base64 algorithms, and runs on Windows, Linux and Mac, prividing your system runs GUI applications. All modules are included -- just requires you to install the Perl interpreter (all information given in the readme.file).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The files that come with this package include:

fbpc3.1.pl (the main program)
readme.file (this file)
auto_install.pl
Release Notes (auto install).txt
<various modules>

REQUIREMENTS:

In order to run this application, you MUST have the following installed:

> SOFTWARE
Perl Interpreter

> MODULES
Crypt::PasswdMD5
Crypt::Rot13
MIME::Base64
Tie::IxHash
Tk::Balloon
Tk::BrowseEntry
Tk::Bundle
Tk::Dialog
Tk::RadiobuttonGroup

*Nix systems should automatically come with Perl installed as default.
Win32 systems do NOT come with Perl installed as default.

TO GET PERL:

http://www.activestate.com/Products/Download/Register.plex?id=ActivePerl

Click that link, register, download Active Perl, and install it.

TO GET TK MODULE:

http://www.tcl.tk/

Choose the package that suits your system specifications, download it, and install it.

For Linux users out there, simply type (in your terminal, and as root):

perl -MCPAN -e 'install Bundle::Tk'

Continue the above command for all required modules (that you don't have), substituting "Bundle::Tk" for the module needed.

For you Windows users that have cygwin (http://cygwin.com/), you can also type the above command, but you must also have a valid make program, along with other pieces of software (that will be spcified if you have never used the MCPAN module before).

If you are a Windows user without cygwin, copy the specified modules listed, into their respective places (module.pm):

NOTE: $PERL is used for where your Perl interpreter is installed.
