Webroot Spysweeper & Lavasoft Ad-aware. If you update those to latest definations they should kill it if its adware. For popups in general, I recommend Ad Muncher. If is the most versitile and effective pop up/ad blocker out there. Nor does it block too much, going overkill and messing up pages.

I use a tiny and very simple popup blocker called noads, it can be dowloaded and is freeware. It does not kill popups on it's own, rather you tell it what windows to close permanently via a list that shows of open windows when you click the icon for noads in the system tray. Once you click away this popup, it will never appear again. Over time the list grows. After having this installed for about a year, I get a pop-up only about once a month now, and it too ends up on my kill list. You can add wildcards so a term like .adserver. so that any URL from adserver (who the hell wants anything to show form that URL??) will never open.

As for spyware, I also agree that spysweeeper is the best, plus it is small and doesn't use much memory, runs in the background in the tray, and uses only one system thread. These two in combo with NAV I have yet to get any virus or spyware infiltrating my system, and I never get pop-ups anymore.
